Enjoying Tagaytay without getting BROKE!

Just last week, we had a short but lovely trip at Tagaytay City, Philippines’ 2nd summer capital.

BACKPACKER'S INN (BUHO, SILANG, CAVITE)

I purchased a voucher at metrodeal  at Backpacker’s Inn (Buho, Silang Cavite) which saved as a great deal, 699php for 2D/1N Fan Room plus Breakfast (believe me, you won’t be needing aircon). The room is okay with a LED TV and round table with two seats, small though and the very big thumbs down is it has NO CR inside the room. L Then, for the breakfast which you didn’t get to choose, corned beef + fried rice + egg, is not bad at all (I have some issues with corned beef so I didn’t eat my breakfast).

Well, I can say is, IT’S CHEAP AND YOU REALLY GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR.
Overall, staying in Backpacker’s Inn is 2 out of 5.

LEN’S KITCHEN AT MAHOGANY MARKET

Later that night, we went to Mahogany Market which promised a delicious big bowl of BULALO (Tagaytay’s best) from online reviews. Actually it was an unplanned dinner since we’re opted to dine somewhere in Olivarez or Magallanes Square. But after some browsing and reading, I found out that Bulalo in Mahogany Market (especially in Len’s Kitchen) is delicious and affordable. So, that’s the motivating factor, “AFFORDABLE”.

After a feeling of life long travel (we took a jeepney heading to "NBI Tagaytay", "MENDEZ" and "MAHOGANY") It was crowded when we got there, lucky us since the only vacant seat was for two. We ordered:
  • Single order of Bulalo
  • 3 rice
  • 1 mineral water
  • 1 coke

Note: They give FREE unlimited BULALO SOUP, KAPENG BARAKO, BANANA and PINEAPPLE. Staff at Len’s Kitchen is very accommodating too.

We went back to the Inn with a very full tummy.

MUSHROOM BURGER

The next morning, we decided to go to Mushroom Burger for our brunch (breakfast + lunch). We chose the burger (though I’m tempted to eat fried chicken, my minds remind me that “where here in Mushroom Burger, we should try their specialty (which is Mushroom Burgers), or we rather headed to McDonalds if you just want chicken”. Yeah, what a motivation! We ordered:
  • Royal Burger with fries and drink
  • Mushroom Burger with cheese (veggies, yum! yum! All mushroom for me) with fries and drink
  • Chocolate Tornado

ENJOYING TAGAYTAY’s COOL SUMMER BREEZE

Before kissing Tagaytay goodbye, we dropped by at Magallanes Square and headed to Leslie’s and Starbucks. We enjoyed the scenic view of Mt. Taal (must see in Tagaytay) and the freshness of the air. The weather was hot but it was cool.  And we took a lot of pictures also!

Below is our total expenses for the 2D/1N Tagaytay getaway!
