Last wave of summer 2013 at Monte Vista Hotspring Resort

Here comes the rain!

SO before the summer ends, we headed to Monte Vista Hot springs & Conference Resort for an overnight swimming last Friday, May 17, 2013.

(haven't upload our pictures yet, but I so wanted to post this blog, so i google-d Monte Vista resort instead. :)

Monte Vista from Google

I purchased a deal at Beeconomic for 10 swimming passes and one free table for 850php.

We were 11 including my family, my aunt's family and my youngest sissy's bff, so we add 50php since the deal is good for 10 person only. Yeah, they have also promo for walk-ins at 50php for entrance.

We took an old 16-seater van going to Calamba from Palapala. There are small fans in the van which was useful when we arrived at GMA, Cavite when suddenly the van's aircon turned off, the driver didn't bother to explain if it was power failure or whatsoever we didn't bother to asked either.

Finally, we arrived at SM Calamba by 7:30 pm, total travel time from Dasmariñas was less than 3 hours mostly due to traffic. From there, we walked until Chowking and ride a jeepney with signboard "Los Baños". The jeepney fare is 10php per head.

When we arrived at the resort, the young receptionist who accomodated us was friendly and nice but somehow unknowledgeable on the services they offered, she kept asking to the other receptionist about my inquiries and we waited after some time before we finally finished the transaction and proceed to our accomodation. In top of our purchased voucher, we also availed a small kamalig worth 900+ good for 10 pax, our voucher entitles us of 50% off for published rates of kamalig, room, etc.

For our food, we brought marinated liempo to be grilled, chicken adobo, pansit and rice. Yum! Yum!

It was indeed a hotspring resort, some pools are warm, and some are warmer. The slides are not "slidy" anyway. The website of Monte Vista states that they have 16 pools, as we checked the area we only saw 12 pools since we didn't able to tour and look around all over the place (we were too exhausted with the travel so around 3am all of us drfited to sleep.

After the swimming (just the night after our swimming), I felt "super itchy" almost all part of my body it made me so uncomfortable working, also my mom and my younger sister. I don't know if we have a same experince with some other guests in the resort or if it was due to swimming after all.

The resort's entrance is cheap (for 50 php summer promo) but the table cottages (500 - 600 php) and kamaligs (from 1800 up) are somehow expensive than the usual.

Maybe next time if we will be back on Pansol, we will try some other resorts too. There are a lot of resorts along the hi-way and all over Pansol.
